How to get rid of frogs in the basement frogs in the basement usually mean you have a water issue. I do not like tree frogs on my windows. My living room vertical blinds are a golden beige color and my window sill is covered with a yellow colored ceramic tile. I think frogs are good outside but not in my attic or falling out of the recessed lighting.

One study suggested the frog selects prey not by its size but according to its activity level with the most active prey being the most frequently eaten. For at least a week now tree frogs have been visiting my window every night. I am not an animal hater or anything and i am not out to kill these things but i don t know what is wrong with me. Tree frogs like these areas to be well shaded tight and compressed.

Not only does it stain my window ledge which i am not terribly concerned about it runs down the wall below the window and that stains. A frog fell out of my kitchen recessed light and landed on my shoulder. My neighbor living below me also have a patio with plants why does it skip that patio and jumps to my patio on 2nd floor. The fourth one is over in the dark corner by himself.

I didn t know i d have to write a description. The frog was sitting motionless clinging on the window screen at 9 00pm. I have a beautiful back yard and i enjoy sitting in it especially with the 4 screech owls but when i see the frog poop running down the house it irks me. For the most part frogs will not live inside of a basement for long.

It started with just two but eventually a third one showed up and tonight there are four frogs on my window. Window frames siding rain gutters overhanging bricks and facia boards all present prime tree frog nest sites. 17 9m members in the mildlyinteresting community. My home is only 4 years old and i have frogs in the attic.

Tree frogs will come out at night to feed but by daybreak will crawl behind shutters and into cracks and crevices attempting to avoid the sun. Had roof vents closed off. I am happy to have them visit my plants but i am scared of them laying eggs and then the population just explodes. Frogs need to live near water and a damp basement can be a great place to catch an unusual array of bugs.

Once i went outside and when i was ready to come back in there was one on the door and i stood there for 30 minutes at a great distance trying to get him off. My landscape company keeps the palm trees trimmed back. Here are some pictures i took. I feel trapped in my house sometimes.

They jump on me and scare me to death. The front porch light which i turned on so i could better take the pictures has a yellow bulb in it.
